Republican Redistricting Commissioners Make Excuses For Ignoring Ohio Supreme Court

COLUMBUS — TODAY, the Equal Districts Coalition — a group of over 30 Ohio advocacy organizations and labor unions engaged in the redistricting process — released the following statement after Ohio Redistricting Commission members tried to explain to the Ohio Supreme Court why they should not be held in contempt:

”What we've seen today is a litany of poor excuses from the only five people in this state who are standing in the way of Ohioans and fair maps: the Republican commissioners. They have failed to do their jobs and to pass constitutional district plans."
